Getting to Manson From Sea-Tac via North Cascades Highway

Seattle's Sea-Tac is the nearest major airport to Manson (a 7 hour drive via North Cascades, 3.5 hours via Snoqualamie). While the North Cascades route is quite lengthy compared to Stevens or Snoqualamie Passes, it is also one of the most beautiful highways in the United States. To go this way, follow the signs from the airport to Interstate Highway 5 North as shown on the Sea-Tac Map (221K). Continue North on I-5 approximately 85 miles to the Highway 20 Exit at Burlington (158K) just past Mount Vernon. From Burlington go East on Highway 20 approximately 140 miles to Twisp (95K). Just past Twisp, take Highway 153 South 34 miles to Pateros (95K). From Pateros, drive South 18 miles on Highway 97 Alt to the town of Chelan (126K). From there, get on State Route 150 west and follow it approximately 8 miles to Manson (95K) and if you happen to be staying there, the Wapato Point Resort (95K).
