*	Linear and Non-Linear Regression (e.g. PLS, PCR)
*	Data Exploration (e.g. PCA, PARAFAC, MCR)
*	Classification (e.g. SIMCA, KNN, PLS-DA)
*	Instrument Standardization
*	Advanced Data Preprocessing
*	Image Analysis
*	Variable Selection
*	Enhanced Data Visualization and Organization Tools

and all the cutting edge tools you've come to expect from Eigenvector

2) Upcoming Short Courses

Take a "spring break" and join Mike Piovoso and Barry Wise in Salt Lake
City, Utah, for Process Chemometrics. This four day, hands-on course
will be held March 17-20. Process Chemometrics will cover the
fundamentals of many commonly used chemometric methods such as principal
components analysis (PCA) and partial least squares (PLS) regression.
Empahsis will be on applying these techniques in the chemical process
environment for on-line instrument calibration, Multivariate Statistical
Process Control (MSPC), Batch Statistical Process Control (BSPC), and
the development of inferential sensors for process control. The course
finishes with a look at multi-way methods useful in batch process
modeling, and industrial applications of Multivariate Image Analysis.
Students will work example problems (on computers provided) using the
PLS_Toolbox 3.0 for use with MATLAB. Get complete course info.

Eigenvector returns to Chelan, WA for Basic and Advanced Chemometrics
with PLS_Toolbox, June 1-5, 2003. The courses will be held at historic
Campbell's Resort on Lake Chelan. The two day, hands-on, Basic
Chemometrics course will start with pattern recognition and regression
methods (PCA, PCR, PLS). Example problems will illustrate use of the
methods with the new PLS_Toolbox 3.0. The three day Advanced Chemometrics
course will explore how multivariate image analysis, curve resolution,
and multi-way methods can be used for investigating and modeling chemical
systems, as well as for multivariate statistical process control. Special
attention will be paid to how the methods can be used together to solve
difficult problems. Here is your chance to update your chemometrics skills
AND visit beautiful Lake Chelan. Get complete course info.

A one-day, hands-on version of Chemometrics without Equations will be
offered prior to the 11th European Congress on Biotechnology, ECB-11. The
course will be held on August 24, 2003, in Basel, Switzerland.

Need chemometrics training at your site? Eigenvector has a rapidly expanding
curriculum available. In addition to the courses listed above, we have
courses that focus specifically on process monitoring, inferential sensors
for use in process control, and SIMULINK. Visit our courses page or write
to Barry M. Wise for more information.

3) Willem Windig Joins Eigenvector Research

Eigenvector Research welcomes the newest member of our team, Dr. Willem Windig.
Willem is well known for his work in curve resolution methods (SIMPLISMA,
DECRA), LC-MS (CODA) and image analysis, and is author of more than 60 journal
articles. He has extensive experience in industrial chemometrics, having been
with Eastman Kodak Company for more than a decade. Willem has established the
East Coast office of Eigenvector in Rochester, NY. His job title is Chief
Eigenspectroscopist. Welcome, Willem! Find out more about Willem here.

4) MATLAB for MacOS X

Eigenvector would like to thank all of you who wrote to the The MathWorks and
signed various petitions to bring MATLAB back to the Mac. The MathWorks
responded, and we now have MATLAB 6.5 for MacOS X! Thanks, MathWorks!!! We've
found that code developed on Windows MATLAB has worked seemlessly under MacOS X
and vice-versa. This means that PLS_Toolbox is the ONLY full featured
chemometrics package that works under Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux! Isn't it
great to have a choice? Find out more about MATLAB for MacOS X.

Again, a HUGE thanks to all of you, and especially The MathWorks!
