combined on-line analytical instrumentation with controlled reactors
of various scales to provide extensive process understanding. Identified
on-line analytical measurement and control technologies to support
API development, characterization, scale-up and technology transfer

include: Infrared spectroscopy, infrared microscopy, Raman spectroscopy,
UV-visible spectroscopy, thermal-IR and UV-visible spectroscopy,
catalyst characterization, chemometrics, computer programming for
scientific applications (Array Basic, C, and MATLAB) and mathematical
methods as applied to spectroscopy. Directed effort to expand areas
of expertise for work unit, including IR-microscopy, TGA-FTIR, FT-Raman
spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy. .
